Following the outbreak of COVID-19, we have had to make some fairly significant changes to our normal procedures in order to protect everyone’s safety.  Please be patient with us!

It’s great that we are once again able to see and treat anyone who wishes to come to the clinic, but for everyone’s safety please make note of the following points:

• If you are currently experiencing a high temperature, a new cough, or changes to your sense of taste or smell, please DO NOT book an appointment – if you already have an appointment booked, and develop these symptoms, please phone us and let us know that you will be unable to attend.
• You will receive either a phone call or text the day before your appointment to confirm you are happy to attend, and have not developed or been in contact with anyone suffering from COVID-19 symptoms.
• Following a recent update to guidance, it is no longer compulsory to bring a face covering or mask when they attend the clinic.  However, please be considerate of others – if you have a cough/cold, irrespective of whether it is COVID or not, please continue to wear a facemask or rearrange your appointment until you are well.  If it would make you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, Laura will happily don one to match 🙂
• When you arrive, please wait in your car until Laura signals for you to approach; this allows time for the clinic area to be cleaned between patients, and minimises the chance of you coming into contact with any infection.  The waiting room is only to be used if you have walked to clinic and have nowhere else to wait – please avoid sitting on the upholstered chairs, and be respectful of distancing from the previous patient as they leave.

The clinic is undergoing regular cleaning, and all potential sources of infection or contamination are being monitored and eliminated where possible.  Laura is taking as many precautions as needed to maintain a safe and healthy environment, and will willingly comply with any measures you would personally feel more comfortable with being adopted during your appointment.  However, we can only ever hope to minimise the risk of infection, rather than eliminate it altogether, and by booking and attending your appointment you are indicating that you are willing to accept this risk and wish to attend anyway.
